You’ll find links to the candidate forum, details on how to contact them directly, and key questions you can ask to see who’s really listening to the community.

  • Want to see who’s really listening to the community? Here are several recommended questions to get you started:

    1. What do you see as Firestone’s most urgent issue in the next 12 months – and what’s your first action to address it?

    2. The DDA election limited voting to “eligible electors” rather than all Firestone residents. Do you believe that structure is fair and representative?

    3. What’s your vision for downtown Firestone, and how should residents have a voice in shaping it?

    4. How will you balance growth and development with the Town’s small-town character and infrastructure needs?

    5. Are there any past Board decisions you would revisit or overturn if given the opportunity?

    6. How should the Town handle conflicts between the Board and citizen committees (like Planning & Zoning or the Recall Committee)?

    7. Should voters have a direct say in major public-private partnerships like the one with United Soccer League?

    8. Do you believe the Town should continue litigation, or prioritize collaboration and negotiation? Why?

    9. How will you ensure residents are protected from rate increases or service disruptions tied to these disputes?

    10. What’s your plan to secure long-term, sustainable water sources for Firestone residents and businesses?

    11. Do you believe the Board has been transparent enough about the costs and consequences of the water conflict?

    12. What’s your plan to restore public confidence in the Board’s decisions and improve communication with residents?

    13. How will you ensure residents are informed and consulted before the Board approves major contracts or legal actions

    14. Would you support an independent audit of the Town’s finances to ensure transparency and accountability?

    15. How will you address the Town’s debt, which has increased significantly over the past seven years?

    16. What’s your approach to managing future borrowing or bond issuance to avoid overextending the Town’s budget?

    17. What are your requirements for selecting a Town Manager; more specifically, should the manager live within the town’s boundaries?
